In fact more and more countries are embracing the concept of brand identity and renew their identity system. An eye-catching and comprehensive visual would impress the locals and tourists and earn more positive engagement from them. Today we are looking at the new country identity of Luxembourg.

X = openess and diversity

Luxembourg is an European countries surrounded by France, Germany and Belgium, and it enjoyed its long history, stable politics and promising economy. Such geographic and social-economical condition has shaped its culture as an “open, dynamic and reliable” one.

In the new Luxembourg logo the designed “X” represents the spirit. On the one hand, It shows the country’s openness and solidarity and encourage networking and innovation. On the other hand, it means the unlimited possibilities that Luxembourg offers the its residents, tourists and businesses. The four symmatrical bi-directional arrows, colors picked from the flag, visualize harmony and stability of Luxembourg. The slogan “Let’s make it happen” is the positioning of the country to make strong appeals.

Extensive application of visual identity
